Van Allen Hall

Located in the hallway of the top floor of the original 1916 building.
​
This display holds artifacts and documents highlighting the remarkable accomplishments of the Van Allen family, including:
​
A work table, law books and book press of Patriarch George Clinton Van Allen.
​
Memorabilia from his son, A.M. Van Allen, local attorney and mayor of Mount Pleasant.
​
Memorabilia from A.M.'s four sons: George Olney, James, Maurice and William.
​
Wall panels from the exhibit: "Explorer's Legacy - Dr. James Van Allen and the Discovery of the Radiation Belts" - Jan. 31, 2016, that was exhibited in the Main Library Gallery of the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
